Erdut vineyards are located on the eastern slopes of the Dalj mountains along the Danube which surrounds Erdut and makes it a peninsula.
The vineyardstretches out along fertile loess deposits in an east-west direction on the slopes of the Erdut - Dalj mountains, with the highest elevations of 130-190 m, and slopes gently toward the south. The altitude is ideal for growing grapes in this sandyloam soil.
The vineyards owned by the company Erdut Vineyards cover 460.00 hectares of which 350.00 hectares were planted between 2003 and 2010.
White wine grape varieties make up 75% of the vineyard area, and red varieties 25%.
The most abundant white wine grape variety is Graševina ( Welschriesling ) (280.00 ha), then Chardonnay, Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris, and the red varieties include Zweigelt, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Frankovka (Blaufränkisch).
